Karl Cheung, the man behind the energetic Hong Kong Institute of Rope Skipping, tells us how drive and passion are equally important to making your dreams come true.
These two inspired entrepreneurs lie at both ends of the age spectrum – one is 11, the other is 93. What do they have in common? A limitless imagination, a clear vision of success and the ability to be flexible and cooperative.
In China, the seamless connection of online, offline, logistics and data along a single value chain is already a reality. Two key variables will power this vision as it goes global: harnessing the incredible power of data and understanding and responding to customers’ emotions. “Uni marketing” is the next evolutionary stage of marketing, allowing companies to use both data and emotions.
Performance & Sharing
What happens to a start-up after the rush of initial success has passed? How do you leverage what you have learned to prepare for further growth? The CEO of a Hong Kong superstar start-up and Vivienne Tam will discuss how their learning journey has helped them develop the strategies and ability to execute that unlock opportunities both at home and in new markets.
People often say that China will soon overtake Silicon Valley, and by one measure they are right – the sheer size of investment and quantity of talent in cities like Shenzhen skew the numbers towards China. But in our globalized highly-connected world, looking at the relationship as a binary “China versus Silicon Valley” equation is too simplistic and backwards-looking. Instead, let’s look at how China and Silicon Valley are both crucial stakeholders in the future success of humanity itself.
